Harford enjoying his latest role as number two at Kenilworth Road
Luton legend Mick Harford is thoroughly enjoying his latest role as assistant manager at Kenilworth Road.
The 61-year-old has now done it all for the Hatters since being signed by David Pleat from Birmingham City for fee of £250,000 in December 1984, making 217 appearances and scoring 92 goals during his playing career with Town.

Harford left a few months later, only to return as chief recruitment officer in January 2016, named caretaker manager when Nathan Jones left for Stoke City in January 2019, masterminding the club to the League One title.
He reverted to his regular scouting role when Graeme Jones took over, but is now back in the dug-out, appointed number two to following Nathan Jones' reappointment during lockdown.
On his new position, Harford said: “I’m really enjoying it.
“I really enjoyed my time when Nathan left and we won League One, so I got a little taste for it.

“I think we’ve got a really, really good group of players, hard-working group of lads who want to be successful.
“We’ve recruited that type of player and I just enjoy being around them, being part of it on a daily basis, getting involved with the players.
