Harford: Town must regain League status

FORMER Luton Town boss Mick Harford is hoping the Hatters can finally end their spell in non-league this season, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 52-year-old, who was back at Kenilworth Road on Saturday for the Twenty20 match between a Luton Invitational XI and Luton Pakistanis, made over 150 appearances in two spells for Town, while leading the club to the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final victory in 2009.

With prior experience at managing the club in the Conference, Harford is well aware just how hard it is becoming for the Hatters to win promotion, with just one team going up automatically.

He said: “I speak for all Luton fans, I want Luton back in the league.”
