The 22-year-old has made a real impact since joining in October, with Luton winning four and drawing one in that time.

Still said: “When I spoke to him before he came here, I said about needing to extend and it’s never ever been a problem for Michael or QPR.

“We’ve been happy with him, he’s been happy with us, QPR are more than happy he’s here, so everyone’s a winner, there’s no losers on this one.”

With Curtley Williams and Paul Connolly nearing full fitness now, Still wouldn’t be drawn into a further extension of the deal when the month is up as he continued: “Curtley Williams is getting fitter now and is not too far away.

“Paul Connolly spent this week at Burton at St George’s Park and was getting a little bit of one to one that the PFA provide, so he should come back with decent fitness levels.

“I’m hoping that Michael’s stay will see us continue our form and we’ll worry about the other time after.

“I don’t know whether or not we’ll go again, lets wait and see.”

The enthusiasm that Harriman has shown to remain at Kenilworth has impressed Still, who has found it in stark contrast to a couple of examples he encountered last season.

The boss added: “We have had it, not this year, last year where you get the okay from the club to loan a player.

“Then when I speak to him, it’s ‘what I want to do is this’, but we’ll leave that. We had that twice, one came back towards the end of the season saying ‘I will come’ as they saw we were in the league.

“If you want to come, that’s fine, but I don’t want people who think they can play higher.

“That’s okay, you go and play higher, it won’t be here though and that’s not just now, that’s not ever.

“I’ll never go back to those players, that’s not knocking them, it’s just how I do it.

“If it’s not for them, I understand that it’s not for them, but that’s not ever going to be for us.”
