Defender Michael Harriman still believes that Hatters can reach the League Two play-offs this season.

The on-loan QPR full back has seen Luton drop out of contention in recent weeks with a run of nine defeats in 11, now trailing Plymouth Argyle by three points.

Town travel to Dagenham & Redbridge this evening, knowing victory is essential as Harriman said: “We’ve got to believe (we can reach the play-offs). We won’t stop believing until the final whistle of the final day has gone.

“We’ve just to regroup, win away at Dagenham and see where are from there.

“Now we’re coming to the crunch time of the season, every game’s going to be a big game from now on. We’ve just got to control the controllables, work hard and see where we are at the end of the game.

“We’ve had a bad run, and got out of that on Monday (against Tranmere) and showed we’re getting back to it. Hopefully we can get that momentum going for the final day.”

The game will see manager John Still return to his former club for the first time, while Luke Wilkinson, Paul Benson and Scott Griffiths are all ex-Daggers too.

Harriman added: “I can understand when you play against a previous club, you always want to do well.

“The boys always work hard no matter what, I don’t think the occasion will get to them. Wilko’s level headed, he knows what he’s got to do, we’ll go there and give it like we always do.”
