Harris not anticipating a walkover at Hyde

Hatters assistant boss Terry Harris doesn’t believe Skrill Premier whipping boys Hyde are quite as bad as their record would suggest.

The Tigers sit bottom of the table, having taken a mere 10 points all season, winning one, drawing seven and losing 37 matches with a goal difference of minus 80.

They were beaten 4-1 at Kenilworth Road back in October, but on their performance, Harris said: “The record shows they’ve been relegated with x amount of goals conceded, but I actually thought that when they came to Luton, they were okay, I’ve seen worse.

“I think if you look at a lot of the Hyde results, they’re in the game for a period of time, 60-65, 70 minutes and then they start to concede.

“I was impressed with them when they came to our place, we beat them 4-1, but it was 2-1 for a stage and 1-1 at half time.

“I thought they played some good football, but the records don’t lie.”

Town’s players had Tuesday and Wednesday off to celebrate their title-winning achievements, but were back to work on Thursday and Harris expects them to remain professional for the last match.

He added: “It’s been a fantastic week and it hasn’t finished yet thankfully, we’re back in training and have tried to get their football heads back on.

“They had Tuesday and Wednesday off, to give them time to recover and get their heads right.

“They’re professional, they came in and we maybe frightened a few as we did a few runs and I don’t think they really expected that.

“It’s (the season) not over yet though, we’ve got one more game to go.”
