With the draw live on Sky Sports News, it had looked like Hatters would be entertaining fierce rivals Watford with just two balls left, but they instead were paired with the Potters, managed by former Chelsea and Manchester United star Mark Hughes.
It will be the first time that Stoke, who today signed Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri from Inter Milan for £12m, have visited Kenilworth Road since August 2006.
