Luton chief Nathan Jones is now looking to strengthen his squad with some new additions after securing the futures of all five of his out of contract players this morning.

Attacker Kazenga LuaLua followed in the footsteps of Glen Rea, Danny Hylton, Luke Berry and Elliot Lee in signing deals to stay at Kenilworth Road, meaning Jones can now turn his attention to the transfer window.

So far, the Hatters boss has brought in Accrington Stanley midfielder Jordan Clark on a free during the close-season and has now set his sights on bolstering his squad further.

After Rea, Lee and LuaLua all committed their futures to Luton club in the last few days, Jones told the club's official website: "We are delighted to secure another three of our promotion winning and Championship survival team.

"We are delighted to get them tied down because they are pivotal to what we want to do.

“All three of them – Glen, Elliot and Kazenga – have contributed massively and we wanted to keep that continuity and reward them for the work that they’ve done.

“Elliot and Kaz both scored goals in important wins that enabled us to secure our status.

"Glen is a key part of the midfield and before his injury was turning into a wonderful defensive midfield player.

“Now we’ve got the opportunity to continue that, to get him back to where he was and then to kick on again.

“We are delighted that they’ve signed and now it’s time to try and kick on with the nucleus of the players, with some additions to improve the quality of the squad.”
