Hatters boss Nathan Jones doesn’t envisage there being much activity either in or out at Kenilworth Road during transfer deadline day.
The window to sign players shuts at 11pm this evening and Jones, who has already brought in Alan Sheehan and Joe Pigott on loan since taking over as manager recently, said: “I don’t envisage there being lots of activity from us really, I think we’ve got a big enough squad already.
“We’ve done a little bit of business which we’re pleased about, we earmarked targets which we were able to do reasonably early.
“If something does come up then we might be interested, but if I’m honest, we know the type of player we want to bring in and we may do that through the loan market.
“So at the minute, I don’t envisage there being lots and lots of activity today.”
Jones let defender Scott Griffiths join Woking on loan for a month last week, while Luke Guttridge and Luke Wilkinson have both also left recently, but when asked about any more exits, he added: “There maybe one or two moving on, but we’re not in massive rush to get players in or out.
“We know the ones we want to bring in, we’re still evaluating parts of our squad anyway.
“So there maybe the odd loan going out, but that might be done after today anyway.”
