Town boss John Still is remaining hopeful of making at least one addition to his squad before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday evening.
The Luton chief has so far been left frustrated in his efforts to strengthen, but is optimistic of completing some business ahead of the deadline.
He said: “We have made lots of enquiries, but as I’ve always said, there is a type that I would like.
“If that type becomes available and had it been available a little while ago, we’d have done it.
“But it’s not about taking anyone, it’s about taking the right one.
“Enquiries we’ve made, some have been okay, some have not, but not everything’s dead.
“So there’s still a possibility of something happening before the window closes.
“If the right players become available we’ll do it. It could well happen, we might work one out somewhere.”
