The 19-year-old, who helped the Hatters win the Conference title last term, was unveiled to the Kenilworth Road crowd at half-time in today’s match with Carlisle.

Speaking afterwards, Town manager John Still said: “It’s something we’ve been trying to do, something we’ve worked hard to do.

“I’ve done my bit and in fairness to the club, to Gary Sweet, they’ve worked really, really hard to try and do the transfer.

“It’s a way that I’m trying to do, by Pelly (Ruddock Mpanzu), by Michael Harriman, by Luke Wilkinson, Cameroon McGeehan, Mark Cullen, they’re all of an age that I want to get to.

“But I can’t do that overnight, but as and when we identify them that’s what we’ll try and do, so we’re on to that.”

The deal will be on loan to start with but Still is hopeful it will become long term in the summer as he added: “I’m sure that will be sorted. We’ll be working to get something in place to get that as a permanent.”
