Luton Town youngsters Ian Rees and Zane Banton have joined Skrill South side Concord Rangers on loan, writes Mike Simmonds.
Banton, 17, and Rees, 18, who have both made their first team debuts and signed professional deals at Kenilworth Road this term, will bolster the Beachboys squad ahead of a busy period.
Concord manager Danny Cowley told the club’s website said: “Zane is a young and quick centre-forward, a little bit in the Dwight Gayle mould.
“He’s been in and around Luton’s first team and he’s a good prospect.
“Ian is a high-energy midfielder. He has played in FA Trophy games against Wrexham and Cambridge and acquitted himself well. So he is another good addition for us.”
The duo are not available for Thursday’s Essex Senior Cup semi-final with Colchester United, but will come into contention for the Skrill South visit of Eastleigh on Saturday.
