Town were without Scott Griffiths and Andy Drury for the 2-0 defeat at Shrewsbury, the latter picking up a slight knock which ruled him out of the game.

Luke Guttridge was also forced off late on at New Meadow, though Still expects all three to be back among contention on Saturday.

Speaking this afternoon he said: “There might be a few (returning to the fold) this week, we’ll have a look tomorrow.

“I will have a better idea then when we will look at one or two things to see if it works.

“All are at the starting line at the moment.”

The Hatters will be without midfielder Matt Robinson on Saturday after an appeal against his red card at Shrewsbury was turned down, ruling him out for three games.

The earliest return the 20-year-old could make would be in the clash at Cambridge on September 20.

Still also confirmed that Jonathan Smith and Alex Lawless were free of injury after returning to full training, with Andy Parry and Shaun Whalley the only other definite absentees for Saturday.

Still said: “(Jonathan) Smith’s alright, he’s training.

“The only two we are looking at at the moment are (Andy) Parry and (Shaun) Whalley.

“Alex Lawless down that right side and Shaun Whalley down that left side can make things happen and we haven’t had that balance.

“Shaun is not too far away, maybe a couple of weeks.

“Lawless is at the starting line at the moment, maybe not ready to start but he is certainly in and around it.”
