The 27-year-old signed for the Millers in the summer, but has only made four appearances, scoring once and has just returned from a loan spell with Notts County, where he featured six times.

Hall, who began his career at Crystal Palace, was signed by Town manager John Still when in charge of Dagenham & Redbridge during the 2008-09 season, playing eight games and netting twice.

It was Southend where he made his name though, scoring 23 goals in 105 games, while Hall has also also had spells with Leeds, Sheffield United and MK Dons.

Rotherham manager Steve Evans confirmed to Radio Sheffield that the winger had been given permission to speak to three clubs, two in League One and one in League Two.

He said: “Ryan signed here on a deal where he really had to be in the team to be getting any sort of income so he’s been banging on my door as well.

“He’s a good player but we’ve said if the opportunity for him to go out is there then I’ll let him talk to them.

“I expect, that between now and Monday Ryan will have gone on to pastures new.

“If not then he’ll come back here and be treated with the respect all our players are while trying to get his head down and force himself back into our thoughts.”
