Hatters loan watch: Onyemah on target from the spot

Hatters midfielder Mark Onyemah scored from the penalty spot for Thurrock as they were 3-1 victors at Redbridge in the Ryman North Division, with Onyemah playing the full 90 minutes.

The 19-year-old left-back, who signed for Luton in the summer following a successful trial, is playing for his home town club with which he played over 20 times for last season.

Midfielder Soloman Taiwo was a half-time substitute for Dover Athletic in their 0-0 draw at Eastbourne Borough in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round.

Charlie Smith played the full 90 minutes for Hitchin Town on Saturday, but was unable to prevent his side slipping to a 2-1 home defeat to Bideford in the Southern League Premier Division.

Winger Zane Banton was unable to maintain his good goal scoring form for Biggleswade Town as they lost 2-1 at home to Frome in the Southern League Premier, with fellow Hatter Ian Rees failing a non-playing substitute.

Dave Martin and Andy Parry were also unused substitutes in the FA Cup fourth Qualifying for Bristol Rovers and Telford respectively, whilst Kynan Isaac remained on the bench throughout Oxford City’s 0-3 defeat to Hednesford Town in the Conference North.
