Hatters miss out on Walker

Hatters: A Town source has confirmed that Nuneaton Town striker Adam Walker turned down the chance to join Luton on loan about a month ago in a move that would have seen two Hatters move the opposite way.

The 21-year-old striker has struck seven times in 16 games for Boro this season but Walker, who is in the final year of studying for a degree at Coventry University, didn’t feel the time was right for a move.

Boro boss Kevin Wilkin told local media: “Luton came to us and expressed an interest in taking Adam on loan, but it never happened. We keep transfer business in house whenever possible.

“Adam made a good start to the season and when that happens you expect interest, as I would with any of our players.

“The book is closed on it now.
