Hatters place Walker on the transfer list

HATTERS have placed young attacker Dan Walker on the transfer list after he rejected the second of two new contract offers.

A statement on the club’s official website said: “The Hatters have been informed that striker Dan Walker has rejected the second of two offers of a new contract from the club.

“Having rejected these offers the Town will retain compensation rights should Walker agree to sign for another club.

“The Hatters have therefore placed the 22-year-old on the transfer list and invite clubs to make an offer of compensation for him.”

Walker has only made a handful of first team appearances for Luton, but won the Goal Of The Season award in 2010-11 for his thunderbolt against Forest Green Rovers.

He spent time on loan at Southport last year, before injury ruled him out for the majority of the campaign, although he did make a goalscoring comeback for the reserves.
