Luton were beaten 1-0 by Blackburn Rovers after conceding late on during their Championship clash on Saturday. A quick drop ball by referee Jeremy Simpson saw Rovers take full advantage with just five minutes remaining, Adam Armstrong left unmarked to net the winner. To find out how the visitors rated on the afternoon, see below.
1. Simon Sluga: 7
Very little to do throughout the contest at Ewood Park, with Armstrong’s low shot early in the second half the only moment of concern, such was Town’s defensive solidity. Left totally exposed for the winner though as Luton switched off.
2. Matty Pearson: 7.5
Took over at right back with Bree not featuring and although not really an attacking outlet, put in a good shift as Town were able to keep a usual high-scoring Rovers side quiet. Looked to have injured himself before coming off.
3. Dan Potts: 7.5
Got his head to a number of crosses into the box as Luton defended their area impressively. His blow to the body saw Brentford given the drop-ball that was to prove decisive though.
4. Tom Lockyer: 7.5
Defender was part of a solid back-line that restricted Rovers to very little in terms of clear-cut chances. Made one big block, but unfortunately hadn’t seen play restarted by referee Simpson, leaving Gallagher in acres of space to set up the winner.
