The scoreline was harsh on Town, as they were in the game for long periods, only to concede three times in the final 23 minutes against their top flight opponents. To see how the Hatters rated on the evening, check below.
5. Matty Pearson: 6
Defender won the penalty for Luton after being clipped by Billing in the box. Couldnt prevent Callum Wilson scoring with his first touch, but wasnt a match where Town deserved to ship four.
6. Glen Rea: 6.5
First start for the club in over a year and will be a huge boost to Luton that he lasted the 90 minutes with no real signs of tiring. Got stuck in and knocked the ball around well when Town had some spells of possession.
7. Jacob Butterfield: 6.5
Got about the Bournemouth players when Luton were defending and kept his cool to find a team-mate after the visitors won possession back. Will hope to have done enough to earn another league start.
8. Andrew Shinnie: 7
Carried the ball forward well and with real purpose when Luton could break forward as he did his chances of a recall no harm at all. Another who will benefit from a full 90 in the tank.
