Ten-man Luton were no match for title hopefuls Burnley on Saturday, as they suffered a thumping 4-0 reverse at Turf Moor.
The visitors never recovered from the 19th minute sending off of Kal Naismith for two yellow cards, as they conceded twice before half time and twice more in the second period to deepen their relegation worries. To find out how the Hatters rated, see below.

Out on the right of a packed midfield as Luton looked to prevent their title-chasing hosts from having their own way, only to see that gameplan dashed before the midway point in the first period due to Naismith's red card. With his attacking instincts then instantly reined in, as it became an attack versus defence contest, he stood up well to the Burnley onslaught, doing his duties diligently as made a good number of tackles, interceptions and clearances, before making way for Bowler. Something of a sacrificial lamb in Lancashire as with Naismith having been sent off and then McGuinness needing to come on to beef up Luton’s defence, he was the one picked by Bloomfield to make way with just 24 minutes having been played. Photo: David Horn

7. Jordan Clark: 3.5
Midfielder was looking to get involved in the game before the red card was brandished, as from then on, it was a thankless task for large periods. Couldn't get the right side of Foster to prevent him from connecting with the simplest of finishes for the Clarets' second goal that made an uphill challenge virtually impossible. Booked for his complaints that the ball went out ahead of Burnley's third despite being the captain, as he was soon taken off with Tuesday night no doubt in mind. Photo: Richard Pelham

8. Zack Nelson: 4.5
One of the two changes made on the day by Bloomfield but going up against such experienced opponents, the young midfielder couldn't ever really make any headway on proceedings at Turf Moor. Unlucky that the referee got in his way when he looked to run the ball away from danger, but maybe a lack of experience meant he didn't make absolutely certain to win an indirect free kick, as Burnley won it back in a flash and quickly made it 2-0. Helped Luton have the better of things at times in the second half, although the Clarets were in cruise control by then. Photo: Alex Livesey
