Luton saw off League One Cambridge United to reach the FA Cup fifth round on Saturday and set up a home tie against European champions Chelsea. Early goals from Reece Burke and Carlos Mendes Gomes put the Hatters ahead, as Admiral Muskwe added a third late on. To find out how the Town players rated on the afternoon, see below.
9. Carlos Mendes Gomes: 8
Looked a threat when he got the chance to run at the hosts defence, despite conditions being tough for attackers. Showed his clinical edge though, collecting Jerome’s pass and rifling past Mitov for maiden Town goal.
10. Cameron Jerome: 8.5
Showed all his years of experience and know-how to lead Luton’s attack past what could have been a potential banana skin. Ran his socks off, was always an out-ball for his team-mates and another assist, setting up Mendes Gomes.
11. Admiral Muskwe: 7.5
Not a great deal came off in the first half, although he was taken out for the free kick that led to Town moving ahead. Few powerful runs after the break and put the tie beyond doubt with Luton's third thanks to a slight deflection.
12. Danny Hylton (SUB): 6.5
On against a club he has always enjoyed scoring against over the years, but bar one chance late on when found by Cornick, wasn’t able to on this occasion. Held the ball up well as Town came through the tie unscathed.
