Luton reached the FA Cup fifth round with a last-gasp victory over Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The Hatters led through Vitaliy Mykolenko’s own goal just before half time, before Jack Harrison levelled for the Toffees early in the second period. With virtually the last kick, Town sub Cauley Woodrow poked home from Luke Berry's corner to send the visitors through and to see how Luton’s players rated on the afternoon, see below.
5. Amari’i Bell: 8.5
Continues to grow in confidence with every game that goes by this season as he was happy to receive the ball in tight spaces and break the Everton press to try and get Luton going, something he did regularly throughout the contest. Didn't ever neglect his defensive duties either as Town protected their areas well. Unlucky that his slip was punished when Harrison sped away to make it 1-1, but able to keep his footing from there on. Photo: Alex Livesey
6. Alfie Doughty: 8
Got the minutes that Edwards wanted him to as once again he enjoyed his time on Merseyside, with another assist to add to his collection. One early shot over the top, his corner delivery was then spot on for Toffees defender Mykolenko to turn into his own net and put the Hatters in front. Couldn't quite catch up with Harrison to prevent him making it 1-1 after Bell slipped, as withdrawn for the closing stages to stay fresh for Brighton's visit on Tuesday. Photo: Clive Brunskill
7. Ross Barkley: 6.5
Back at his old stomping ground, it quickly became apparent the Toffees fans still haven’t forgiven him for leaving five years ago, his name booed and every touch jeered by the Toffees faithful. Couldn’t quite have the kind of impact he would have wanted, with things not quite coming off for him, as Everton were able to keep a handle on his usual influence. Still neat and tidy as ever on the ball, he had a few wayward attempts from range before a touch of cramp led to him going off late on with Tuesday night in mind. Photo: PAUL ELLIS
8. Sambi Lokonga: 7.5
Calm and composed in the centre of Town’s midfield, he showed no signs of the Achilles problem that kept him out of the previous round win over Bolton. Able to snuff out the obvious threats of Onana and co in the first half which allowed Luton to build into the game quickly and look the most likely to score. Lasted a good hour and will now look to prepare for the Seagulls tomorrow. Photo: Clive Brunskill
