Luton were knocked out of the Carabao Cup after a third round 1-0 defeat at League One side Exeter City yesterday evening.
A late goal from Deme Mitchell was enough for the Grecians to go through, and to find out how the Hatters rated on the night, see below.

Promising youngster was handed his senior debut and appeared at home in the first half, confident to get on the ball, showing some nice touches as well to keep possession, with Luton bossing things. Held his own until after the break, when the Grecians looked to make the most of his inexperience by targeting him, Edwards bringing on Bell for what he had hoped would be some added security. 6. Ryan Giles: 6.5
Was a big night to try and showcase the reasons why he was brought to Luton and although he did at times, wasn’t with as much regularity as he would have wanted. Corners looked threatening as he was still able to deliver 14 crosses into the danger area, six of them accurate, and really should have had a couple of assists to his name, Brown putting a free header straight at the keeper. 7. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 6.5
Captain for the night as he played in the deeper role as he got the ball off his defence and tried to get things moving, particularly in the first half when Luton were increasingly dominant. Few good bursts both forwards and back, with the odd terrific sliding challenge, but clearly left his shooting boots well and truly in Bedfordshire, one effort flying well over in the first half, another missing by an even larger distance after the break. 8. Luke Berry: 6.5
Valuable minutes for the midfielder who hadn't started since the previous round at Gillingham, as he was the only one left one in the team from Luton’s last visit here in League Two some six years ago. Tried to get about things early on as his shot from range was tipped over. Looked to pick up the bits and pieces in and around the box late on, but nothing would quite fall to him. Photo: Harry Trump
