Luton picked up a creditable point in their trip to League One leaders Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.
The visitors had led through Jordan Clark’s first half strike, only to see Joe Taylor equalise early in the second period, and to find out how the visitors rated, see below.

Had the joint most touches in the game with 85 in total, as Luton's tactics were clear from the start, getting their two defenders on the ball in a patient attempt to try and shift the Terriers around and entice the hosts on to them, allowing Walsh to be found and move the ball upfield that way. Worked fairly well as Luton were able to do just that, even if their final third play wasn't quite up to scratch, while he also looked to send the ball forward with his trusty left foot when the opportunity arose. Flicked on a late long throw from Ashby that saw Clark go close to a winner, but his partnership at the back with Andersen is looking more and more dependable with every passing moment. Always tried to take up some good angles to allow Luton's two centre halves to play into him, which they did often, as he saw plenty of the ball. Moved it well in his own half, and when he could get his head up to go longer, did just that, his outside of the boot pass releasing Donley to create the opener. Picked out Mendel on the right with some real accuracy too, although his final third play could have been slightly more incisive at times. Did well for the majority when helping his defence out, bar the one time he couldn't stop Fernandes' cross as the Terriers levelled. Commendable resolve to get through the full 90 having gone off in the closing stages during Town's last few matches. Photo: David Horn

Becoming a hugely important part of Town's starting XI, as the midfielder maintained his run of starts in a slightly deeper role against the Terriers, holding his position well to ensure that Luton often had enough back to prevent the visitors being countered on. Excellent reserves of energy allowed him to feature at the other end too, picking out Palmer for an ambitious volley and then latching on to Wash's quickly taken free kick to burst into the area, his cross cleared out to Clark, who broke the deadlock. Continued to work hard throughout the contest, allowing the Hatters to come away with a point from a contest they may very well have lost a month or so earlier. Photo: Andy Fitzsimons

In one of Town's toughest tests of the campaign, having also started against Leicester, demonstrated the faith that Wilshere has in him, on what was still only the fifth start of his senior career. Did well early on when pinching the ball back high up and in a central role on that occasion, dinked a pass over the top for Clark to go close. In a game where Luton needed to be at their best defensively, didn't ever neglect his duties, getting back well to protect Jones at first, and then Ashby, as he did his bit by making three tackles to prevent the Terriers having their own way on his flank. Also went on the outside to create an opportunity for the visitors before heading off on the hour mark for Richards. Photo: Andy Fitzsimons
