Luton put up an almighty fight against Premier League giants Manchester United in their third round tie last night before eventually going out of the competition. Juan Mata's first half penalty put the Red Devils in front, before England internationals Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood netted late on to ensure victory. To find out how the hosts rated on the evening, see below.
5. Sonny Bradley: 9
Like Norrington-Davies, managed another full game and kept his standards exceedingly high. Seems to have gone up a gear from last season, as his passing out from the back allows Town to build in their their groove.
6. Ryan Tunnicliffe: 9
Inspired display against the side where he began his career. Excellent in tight spaces, sharp in the tackle and always willing to drive forward. Wants to be back in the Championship side and served clear notice of those intentions.
7. Andrew Shinnie: 7.5
Had to do plenty of tracking as United looked to dominate, particularly in the early stages. Kept the ball moving well, while might have done better with one opportunity from outside the box. Deep free kick led to Town's best chance too.
8. George Moncur: 7
Different kind of test for the midfielder as he had lots of tracking and chasing to do throughout. Ill-advised challenge in the area gave United a penalty on the stroke of half time, but when on the ball, kept things neat and tidy.
