Luton’s first game under new manager Jack Wilshere ended in a 2-0 defeat to Mansfield Town on Saturday.
The Hatters missed a penalty through Nahki Wells in the first half, as Rhys Oates quickly put the Stags ahead, with Tyler Roberts netting from the spot early in the second period. To find out how Town’s players rated on the afternoon, see below.

5. Kal Naismith: 4.5
Looked to be having a decent first half at times as he played some neat and incisive passes, with one crisp ball out side leading to Kodua’s chance, while he also showed good vision to pick out Clark inside the area, as the midfielder's curler was brilliantly tipped away. Slowed things down a bit too much after the break when the Hatters needed to try and find a way back into the game, as when he did go long, often sent it through to the opposition keeper when he needed to find a team-mate instead. 6. George Saville: 3.5
Quite possibly his least effective outing for the Hatters which was unusual given his output so far since arriving. Some decent passing in the first period when Luton had their best moments in the game, as he was able to find his way through the lines, almost leading to Town breaking the deadlock, picking out Alli from a set-piece that he should have done better with. After the break it wasn't as good though, as from the moment Mansfield doubled their lead, he and his team-mates looked devoid of ideas, unable to muster a single shot on target in that second 45 minutes. 7. Jordan Clark (STAR MAN): 7.5
Quite simply head and shoulders above anyone else in an orange shirt as the midfielder at least showed new boss Wilshere he can be counted on. Escaped Mansfield's attentions to find some space in the box during the first half, one shot deflected behind, also seeing his curler quite brilliantly tipped onto the post by Roberts, while cleverly danced his way through to win a penalty when tripped by Knoyle only for Wells to fluff his lines. Despite Town's powderpuff efforts at getting back into the contest from 2-0 down, he was the only one who looked like he was giving his all, always wanting the ball and never shying away from the task in front of him, his efforts at least recognised by the Luton supporters present. 8. Lamine Fanne: 3.5
Nowhere near the kind of impact he had on his last outing at Kenilworth Road against Doncaster, as despite being named in what looked a fairly attacking line-up, the majority of the game appeared to pass him by. Had the odd moment where he might have flickered into life, but that was quickly extinguished by the Mansfield midfield who were able to snuff out his threat and restrict him to just 30 touches during his hour on the field.
