Luton were beaten 2-0 by Stoke City at Kenilworth Road on Saturday, as they dropped points for the first time on home soil in the league this term. Two goals in the space of 10 minutes from Steven Fletcher and Nick Powell proved the difference, as Town were unable to mount a comeback. To find out how the Hatters rated on the afternoon, see below.
5. Sonny Bradley: 7.5
Had been looking solid against Fletcher, as his passing from the back saw Town work some good moves. Couldn’t connect with his clearance when needed, Powell slamming home from close range to put the game beyond Luton.
6. Glen Rea: 7
Had two sights of goal after being teed up from range, unable to test Davies on either occasion, with another header straight at the stopper. Dropped into a back three as Hatters switched formations to try and mount a comeback.
7. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 7
Had some muscular runs forward, only to see Stoke often nick the ball back or commit a tactical foul to prevent them from coming to anything. Whizzed one cross-shot wide and then a late strike was again repelled by Davies.
8. Luke Berry: 7
Took most if not all of the 16 corners that Luton won on the day, and although picking out his team-mates on a number of occasions, Town didn't make the most of them. Great vision sent Lee through for the Hatters' best opportunity.
