Luton produced a hugely disappointing performances as they were beaten 2-1 by Cardiff City on Saturday. The hosts led after 10 minutes through Rubin Colwill's header, before Jordan Clark's first goal of the season just after the hour mark made it all square. Late on, Sean Morrison powered home to win it for the Bluebirds and to find out how the hosts rated on the afternoon, see below.
5. Sonny Bradley: 4
Lost Colwill after just 10 minutes for the opener as the City man was afforded the freedom of the area to send his downward header over the line. Was also then beaten by Giles’ cross as Town’s Achilles heel cost them yet again.
6. Kal Naismith (STAR MAN): 7
Top performer yet again for the Hatters, particularly in the second half when he was the only one really brave enough to get things going. One wonderful cross headed over by Lockyer, his next cross did lead to Luton's equaliser.
7. Glen Rea: 4.5
Restored to the side to add some steel to the Luton midfield but it didn’t really turn out that way, Cardiff comfortably controlling the centre of the park for long periods. Let Colwill run off him for the opener as Town struggled with crosses again.
8. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 3.5
The only midfielder to keep his place but didn’t impose himself on proceedings, unable to burst forward, often slowing play down. Drilled one attempt over after the break although one of three who were statuesque as Morrison won it.
