Luton suffered a third straight defeat on Saturday as they were beaten 2-1 by Manchester City at Kenilworth Road.
The Hatters had led at the break thanks to Elijah Adebayo’s towering header, but second half goals from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish saw the visitors take all three points.

5. Amari’i Bell: 6.5
With Luton leading going into the break, the plan was working perfectly as Town gave up possession, but bar a few potshots, had been able to keep City at arm's length. It wasn’t quite the same in the second period, as the centre half got caught by Alvarez's movement for the first goal and then saw his ill-advised pass to Lockyer picked off by the World Cup winner for the crucial second just a few minutes later. 6. Ryan Giles: 7
First league start since the 2-1 defeat to West Ham in September, as he came into play in the wingback role against the champions with Kabore out. Didn’t let anyone down defensively on the day, as Walker's threat was limited, also showing he wasn’t afraid to get stuck in with one crunching challenge that got Town's supporters going. Crossing wasn't quite at its best, but his passing when under severe pressure was always neat and tidy. Photo: Liam Smith

7. Marvelous Nakamba: 7.5
Back from a knee injury to add some steel to the Luton midfield as he made a point of letting the City players know he was there. Pressed when the chance arose in what was a terrific first half for the Hatters, but City's extra quality won the day after the break. Replaced late on by Lokonga as a needless fifth booking of the season means he is now ruled out of next weekend's trip to Bournemouth. Photo: Liam Smith

8. Ross Barkley: 8
Once more he was quite outstanding when in possession, as although limited on this occasion due to the way in which City had the upper hand on proceedings, he very rarely wasted the ball when Luton had it. Did superbly for the opener, getting away from Silva and then finally shrugging off Rodri as Kenilworth Road erupted following Adebayo's header. Wonderful solo run in the second half when he danced past Kovacic only to slice wide of the target. Had that gone in it would have been some moment. Photo: Liam Smith
