Luton ended their run of back-to-back defeats by beating Coventry City 2-0 at Kenilworth Road last night. James Bree's first ever senior goal gave Town the lead midway through the first half, before Elijah Adebayo's penalty just before the break sealed victory. To find out how the hosts rated on the evening, see below.
5. James Bree: 7.5
Timed his run perfectly to burst into the area and convert Cornick’s cross with a volley for a first ever senior goal and crucially put Luton in front. Good mobility all evening and pinged some excellent crossfield passes too.
6. Jordan Clark: 7
Moved around the pitch once more, starting out at left wing-back and then moving to left back as Town altered things. Managed to get forward too and was almost on the scoresheet, his acrobatic volley drawing a fine stop from Wilson.
7. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: 7.5
Midfielder is starting to regain some of his dominance as his ball in led to Luton winning their penalty. Should have had an assist and a goal, with a number of fine deliveries wasted by his team-mates and then shot over himself.
8. Ryan Tunnicliffe (STAR MAN): 8
Midfielder was up and down throughout the evening with a performance of high energy. Becoming a threat in the opposition area as had three attempts, one excellent low drive looking in all the way until it was cleared off the line.
