Luton ensured progress to the Vertu Trophy group stages after a 3-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion U21s at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night.
Jerry Yates scored a double in the first period, while 16-year-old Fin Evans made history when finding the net after the break and to find out how the Town players ratedon the evening, see below.

13. Milli Alli (SUB): 6
One of two substitutes brought on at the break, he wasn't able to produce the final product he would have wanted once more in what was a quiet second period, as often held on to the ball for too long as the attack petered out. Also tried an ambitious attempt from range when he had team-mates in far better areas, dragging it disappointingly well wide of the target. Photo: David Horn

14. Lasse Nordas (SUB): 5.5
His first chance to impress Wilshere as the Norwegian was introduced around the hour mark. Was soon played clean through on goal by strike partner Yates and simply had to score, but fluffed his lines to get a morale-boosting goal when he was denied by the legs of the Seagulls keeper. Defender hadn't featured at the weekend, but was back on the bench for the Vertu Trophy tie and replaced Odoffin in a pre-planned move to have the final half an hour at right back, but wasn't quite switched on from the corner that saw Brighton pull one back on 75 minutes. Came close to scoring himself, but his effort rebounded kindly for Evans to add the Hatters' third. Photo: David Horn

Had the final knockings for Gbode, but there was precious little time to try and have that much of an impact on proceedings. Photo: Andy Rowland
