Luton made it through to the third round of the Carabao Cup after beating League Two Gillingham 3-2 at Kenilworth Road last night.
Jacob Brown, Alfie Doughty and Cauley Woodrow were all on target for the hosts, and to see how the Hatters players rated on the evening, see below.
13. Issa Kabore (SUB): 6.5
Came on in the right wingback slot which allowed Doughty to switch to the left, as he tried to use his pace to get at the Gills defence. Looked like he had won a penalty for Luton when going over in the area, but the referee didn’t agree or book the City loanee for diving either. Photo: Mike Hewitt
14. Ross Barkley (SUB): 7
On at the hour mark and after almost getting caught in possession twice, quickly got to the pace of proceedings and his undoubted quality shone through, finding a man at will with his passing. One magnificent ball set Woodrow away and might have bagged a fourth, seeing his shot beaten away by Morris. Photo: JUSTIN TALLIS
15. Marvelous Nakamba (SUB): 7
With Luton looking to settle down and see the game out, the Zimbabwean international came on for the final 20 minutes and got on the ball quickly, finding the angles and keeping Town in possession. Photo: Liam Smith
16. Elijah Adebayo (SUB): 6
Had the final moments as he came on for the impressive Brown. Looked to get about the pitch but Town didn’t really threaten in the latter stages. Photo: Liam Smith
