Luton made a superb start to the Championship campaign with an excellent 3-0 win over Peterborough United on Saturday. Elijah Adebayo, Harry Cornick and Fred Onyedinma were all on target in front of a raucous Kenilworth Road crowd. To find out how the hosts rated on the afternoon, see below.
5. Kal Naismith: 8.5
Captain in place of the unavailable Bradley and his swiftly formed partnership with the inexperienced Osho impressed throughout, the pair doing well to deny last season’s prolific United marksman Clarke-Harris any real sights at goal.
6. Allan Campbell: 8
Terrier-like display as he got about the pitch to close down Town’s opponents, denying them time and space on the ball. Passing dipped occasionally but showed he can get forward too, picking out Bell for his opportunity.
7. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 8.5
Into his ninth season with the Hatters now and although not yet fully fit, was still able to give his all to the cause, playing an important part in Town’s excellent team display and helping them control the midfield battle.
8. Jordan Clark: 9
After playing in a variety of roles last term, started this campaign in a more attacking position which suits his game down to the ground. Popped up all over the place and was only narrowly wide with a first half header.
