Luton picked up a first victory at Nottingham Forest since 1983 with a 1-0 win last night. Ryan Tunnicliffe scored the only goal of the game, stretching to volley Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu's cross into the net for his second strike in as many games. 5. Kal Naismith (STAR MAN): 8.5
Carried on in his centre half role following the weekend’s efforts and produced a starring role at the back. Headed away numerous crosses and made some vital clearances all night, particularly one sliding intervention on Murray.
6. Glen Rea: 7
Couldn’t quite get to the pace early on when in possession as Town came under pressure in their own half. Back on it after the break though, as he screened the back-line well preventing Forest from dominating as they had.
7. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: 7
Town’s midfield had to do plenty of chasing in the first period as Forest had the better of things, but they kept their shape doggedly. Came into the game more during the second period, always hard to shake off the ball.
8. Ryan Tunnicliffe: 8
Tenacious in the tackle, he worked hard to enable Luton got through to the interval on level terms. Brilliant and determined run made sure he reached Mpanzu’s cross, netting with a cleverly controlled finish too.
