Luton produced a poor performance as they lost their five game unbeaten run with a 2-0 defeat at Preston North End on Saturday. Lilywhites top scorer Emil Riis netted twice in the first half, the second from the penalty spot as Town couldn't find a way back after the break. 5. Sonny Bradley: 4
Had started off fairly well with Luton keeping their hosts at bay, but almost put Sluga in trouble with a backpass and then needlessly dived in moments before half time on McCann to concede a penalty. Didn’t reappear after the break.
6. Kal Naismith: 6
One of the Hatters’ few better performers on the day, as he didn’t do a lot wrong defensively. Might have netted, almost capitalising when Rea’s header was saved and then had a deflected long range blast spectacularly tipped over.
7. Glen Rea: 4
In such a scrappy opening 45 minutes, wasn’t able to get a hold of things in midfield, Town too often going long to the forwards. Great chance to make it 1-1, but headed straight at Iversen from close range. One of two replaced at the break.
8. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 3
Not his day at all as Luton lost the midfield battle early on and never recovered. Caught in possession often, while during the second period saw one pass cut out and then sent another straight out of play to sum up his difficult afternoon.
