Luton fell to a 2-0 defeat against fellow play-off hopefuls QPR in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Friday night. Despite starting well, the Hatters fell behind to Chris Willock's goal on 10 minutes, experienced striker Charlie Austin then doubling the advantage early in the second half. 5. Kal Naismith (STAR MAN): 8
Strode out of defence impressively to get Town on the front foot, one foray forward in the first period catching the eye, also playing in Onyedinma too. Should have made it 1-1 just after half time, heading wide of the target when unmarked.
6. Allan Campbell: 7
Part of a midfield three who got about their QPR counterparts well as the hosts didn’t ever really cut through them. Nicked the ball back high up to start some promising moments, but Town couldn't make the most of the opportunities.
7. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 6.5
Like the rest of his team-mates his accuracy was way off throughout, lining up the target on more than occasion but getting nowhere near. Did show some good body strength when shielding the ball away from his opponents.
8. Henri Lansbury: 7.5
A class act, always appearing to have more time than any of his team-mates when on the ball. Calm head allowed Luton to keep possession and use it well to start a number of counter attacks, although he too sent a snapshot into the stands.
