Luton earned a Carabao Cup third round tie against Premier League giants Manchester United with a 1-0 win over Reading last night. Jordan Clark's first goal for the club midway through the first half was enough for Town to make it three victories in a row since the season started. To find out how the visitors rated on the evening, see below.
1. James Shea: 7.5
Proved yet again that he won’t let anyone down when the chance to play arises. Handling secure on a comfortable evening with Reading unable to seriously test him and always an option for his defenders when they were under pressure.
2. James Bree (STAR MAN): 9
It was as if the defender had never been away as he tore up and down the right flank all evening. Defensively sound, it was going forward he really impressed with a number of impressive bursts and crosses for his strikers.
3. Rhys Norrington-Davies: 8
Continued his mightily fine start to life at Kenilworth Road with an excellent outing at left back. Sent over the pinpoint delivery that saw Clark rise highest to head home the only goal of the game.
4. Tom Lockyer: 8
Debut for the Hatters after joining from Charlton in the summer and looks a fine addition as he ensured that the expensively-assembled Royals strikeforce barely had a sniff all evening.
