Luton earned a Carabao Cup third round tie against Premier League giants Manchester United with a 1-0 win over Reading last night. Jordan Clark's first goal for the club midway through the first half was enough for Town to make it three victories in a row since the season started. To find out how the visitors rated on the evening, see below.
9. Jordan Clark: 8
Part of an impressive Hatters display as they dominated the opening period at times, linking up well with Bree on the right particularly. Showed a superb leap to plant his header beyond Southwood for the only goal of the game,
10. Kazenga LuaLua: 7
Few moments of danger when he was able to use his strength to get past a Royals defender. Was tightly marked though and replaced late on, unable to quite have the impact he would have wanted.
11. Danny Hylton: 7.5
Took up some great positions and on another night, would have been celebrating his first goal in almost 18 months, only to see one point blank header well saved and another drop inches wide.
12. Elliot Lee (SUB): 6.5
Came on for LuaLua to get the final 20 minutes, and slotted into his role well, with Luton not looking to be too expansive, rather protect what they had in the closing stages.
