Luton made it two wins in two games and a first triumph at Reading since 1999 with a comfortable 2-0 victory last night. Tom Holmes diverted Amari'i Bell's cross into his own net in the first half, before Allan Campbell's close range strike just before the hour secured the points. To find out how the visitors rated on the evening, see below.
5. Sonny Bradley: 8
Ruled the roost aerially on the night as Reading struggled to get any kind of territory, the Royals only occasionally looking capable of threatening the visitors' clean sheet. Looked dangerous from set-plays too, having a few efforts charged down.
6. Kal Naismith: 7.5
Might have still been caught up in the euphoria of Saturday during the first period, attempting some ambitious raking crossfield passes and shots from 40 yards. Tightened up in the second half, winning his battles and testing Southwood.
7. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 8.5
After some indifferent performances before Christmas, this was much more like it from the midfielder as he got a hold of the game and kept Luton moving. Lovely threaded pass led to Town’s second which killed off Reading’s challenge.
8. Allan Campbell: 8.5
Buzzed about the pitch with his usual enthusiasm but becoming a genuine attacking threat for Luton now. Timed his run to slide home Adebayo’s cross for his second in as many games and probably should have had another as well.
