Hatters rated v Braintree

Mark Tyler: 6 – Must be tearing his hair out after conceding three goals on a night he was yet again largely underworked.

Ronnie Henry: 4.5 – Criminally let the ball go over the top for the second goal as his struggle for form continues.

Simon Ainge: 6.5 – First goal for the club and won his share of headers, but Hatters are still far too accommodating for opposition attackers.

Connor Essam: 5 – Turned way too easily for the first goal and withdrawn as Town went for broke in the second half.

Jake Howells: 6.5 – Tried to get forward and support at every opportunity but appears confined at left-back.

Alex Lawless: 6.5 – Neat and tidy once more, the midfielder was at the hub of Luton’s forward breaks.

Jake Robinson: 6 – Did his best to get into the game, but Town’s attacking outlet was on the opposite flank.

JJ O’Donnell: 6 – Showed his usual willingness to harry the opposition, but eventually even he ran out of energy.

Andre Gray: 7.5 – Hatters’ most attacking threat, desperately unlucky not to score and his crosses deserved better.

Jon Shaw: 6 – Looks short of confidence in front of goal after once again taking the wrong option late on.

Stuart Fleetwood: 5 – Desperately unlucky to be booked for diving, but with that in mind should have stayed out of trouble.
