Hatters rated v Cambridge

Mark Tyler: 6.5 - Couldn’t have any real complaints over the penalty decision, though hugely unlucky his save rebounded straight back into Simpson’s path.

Michael Harriman (STAR MAN): 8.5 - Town’s stand out player by far as he was up and down the right flank all afternoon, with some quality deliveries. Deserved his first goal and hopefully a permanent deal can be arranged.

Paul Connolly: 7 - Un-natural left back role for the summer signing, who was playing for the first time since September. Lasted for an hour and looked confident when in possession.

Fraser Franks: 6.5 - Was decent in the air once more, but backed off Donaldson for the second goal, allowing him to pick his spot.

Luke Wilkinson: 7 - Did well up against the height of Elliott in what was a much-changed defensive unit with no McNulty.

Jim Stevenson: 6 - Solid display in the centre of midfield for the Hatters. Tidy with the ball at his feet and grew into the game the longer it wore on.

Jonathan Smith: 6.5 - Captain for the day and went close in the first half, but didn’t quite have his usual impact on proceedings.

Jake Howells: 6.5 - Gave Luton some balance on the left side and was behind the majority of their best moves in the first period.

Ricky Miller: 5.5 - Big chance for the striker who was handed a rare start, but didn’t make much of an impact against a hardened U’s back-line.

Mark Cullen: 6 - Forward came closest early on, although again found service hard to come by as he made way early in the second period.

Ross Lafayette (SUB): 5.5 - Striker was thrown on with 30 minutes to go, but never really came close to netting a first Luton goal.

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu (SUB): 7 - Great to see him back from injury and immediately gave the home defence something to think about with his all-action style.

Charlie Walker (SUB): 6.5 - Looked tricky when he came on and caused more then a few problems for Town’s opponents.
