Hatters rated v Dartford

Dean Brill: 5 – No real chance with either Dartford goal and didn’t have another shot to save.

Alex Lawless: 5 – Unperturbed by his recent lay-off the gutsy performer showed plenty of energy, but his distribution was often wayward.

Scott Rendell: 6 – Won a good number of headers as he led the line well, but lacked the Midas touch in front of goal.

Jake Howells: 6 – Surged forward from full-back when possible, but could have been more influential in midfield.

Simon Ainge: 6 – Won plenty in the air and held the line well, but will be disappointed to see Luton leak two goals from set-pieces.

Stuart Fleetwood: 5 – Busy striker was always a threat in and around the box, but sadly it wasn’t Town’s day.

Arnaud Mendy: 4 – Nothing came off for the rangy midfielder who too often put the Hatters in trouble.

JJ O’Donnell: 4.5 – Great engine and attitude, but was once again physically overrun in the middle.

Jonathan Smith: 7 – Home debutant was Town standout performer as he impressed with his feisty attitude and tough-tackling demeanour.

Ronnie Henry: 5.5 – Slotted in well at centre-half, but the Hatters missed Kovacs’ aerial influence.

Andre Gray: 6 – Immensely frustrating afternoon for the livewire striker who simply couldn’t buy a goal.

Dan Walker (sub): 6 – Direct approach unsettled the Darts, but final product was again lacking.
