Hatters rated v Hartlepool

Mark Tyler: 6.5 - One early save apart, he had a relatively quiet time once more behind a solid defence.

Michael Harriman: 7 - On-loan full was steady and composed throughout on his first Hatters away day.

Scott Griffiths: 7 - Could count himself unlucky to concede the penalty for his challenge on Walker

Steve McNulty: 8 - Superb display from the skipper particularly in the second half when he won pretty much everything in the air.

Luke Wilkinson: 7.5 - Looked fortunate to escape giving away a spotkick in the first half, but another assured display.

Nathan Doyle: 6.5 - Not quite as effective as recent weeks but still provided a good screen for the back four.

Jonathan Smith: 8 - Endless amount of running by the midfielder as even late on, he was driving Town forward.

Andy Drury: 7 - His deadball deliveries caused a constant threat as a number of free kicks picked out their intendend targets.

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu: 7.5 - Handed the ‘Andre Gray’ role from last season and looked to revel in it. Good assist for Cullen too.

Ricky Miller: 7 - Grew into the game as he became more and more confiden. Spearheaded some counter-attacks in the second half as his free kick set up the clincher.

Mark Cullen: 7 - When Cullen scores, Luton win and he took his chance clinically. Always kept Pools’ defence on their toes.

Paul Benson (SUB): 7 - Excellent cameo from the striker, whose hold up play proved crucial late on.

Jim Stevenson (SUB): 7 - In the right place at the right time to gobble up his first Luton goal.

Luke Guttridge (SUB): 6 - Looked dangerous in just a few moments on the pitch.
