Hatters rated v Oxford

Mark Tyler: 8 - Made two vital saves with his legs as Oxford broke through on more than one occasion. Almost undone by a bobble but fortunately luck was on his side.

Michael Harriman: 6.5 - Found it tough against O’Dowda with the Oxford winger getting plenty of joy on the left hand side, which diminished his threat going forward.

Jake Howells: 7 - Slotted in effortlessly to his less favoured full back position and looked to have a good understanding going with new signing Ryan Hall.

Steve McNulty: 7.5 - Some high class defending once more from the skipper, who relished coming up against a striker in Hylton.

Luke Wilkinson: 7.5 - Had a real battle with both Hoban and Hylton throughout and used all the tricks in the book to keep them quiet.

Nathan Doyle: 7.5 - Running war of words with Hylton in particular, but managed to keep his composure as he got Luton ticking once more.

Jonathan Smith: 7 - Grew stronger as the game wore on, allowing Luton to finally take control of the midfield areas.

Andy Drury: 6.5 - Didn’t really exert the sort of influence on the game he has in recent weeks. Set-plays always cause a problem though.

Ryan Hall: 6.5 - Lively start to his Luton career as almost scored with one of his first touches. Faded in and out slightly afterwards, but a promising beginning.

Shaun Whalley: 6.5 - Played his part in Town’s leveller as his shot was turned in by Stockley. Didn’t get as many chances to run at his marker as he might have liked.

Jayden Stockley: 7 - Will have a huge lift from netting a first Town goal. Once again led the line manfully without a natural partner alongside him.

Mark Cullen (SUB): 7 - Another who impressed during his second half appearance and gave Luton some real attacking potency in the latter stages.

Nathan Oduwa (SUB): 7.5 - Showed he could well be a hit with Town’s fans after a glimpse of his talents. Pace and skill to burn and almost won a penalty, but foul was just outside the area.

Alex Wall (SUB): 7.5 - Very impressive return to first team action for Wall. Looked hungry and purposeful. Came close with a late blockbuster too.
