Hatters rated v Portsmouth
Mark Tyler: 8 - Keeper made some important stops, none better than a crucial double save in the second half that ensured Hatters kept a very welcome clean sheet.

Stephen O’Donnell: 7.5 - Surprise selection after three months on the sidelines, but showed his defensive capabilities against a tricky opponent in Kyle Bennett.
Jake Howells: 7.5 - Did well to get through two games in three days after his spell out of the side. Part of an impressive back four on the day.
Scott Cuthbert (STAR MAN): 8 - Captain put his Wycombe error quickly out of his mind with a leading role on the field, both vocally and in particularly aerially.
Magnus Okuonghae: 7 - Much better from Okuonghae who grew in stature as the game wore on and like Cuthbert, made some vital interventions.

Hatters chief: I picked the wrong team for Bristol City defeat
Josh McQuoid: 5.5 - Did his best in a wide role on the right but with Pompey dominating possession never really had a chance to show his talents going forward.
Jonathan Smith: 7.5 - Perfect game for Smith to make his return as he was always snapping at the Pompey midfield’s toes and breaking up play as best he could.
Alex Lawless: 6.5 - Busy display from the Welshman who gave as good as he got in the heart of Hatters’ midfield.
Ryan Hall: 6 - Winger was another who wasn’t expected to play but also gave everything he could to the cause. Might have done better in an attacking-sense though on the rare occasion Town broke.
Paul Benson: 6 - Striker produced a few lovely flicks when Hatters ventured up the pitch but the ball didn’t stick as well as he might have wanted it to.
Jack Marriott: 6 - Tireless effort from Marriott as he kept on the shoulder of the defence, but got very little change out of Adam Barton all afternoon.
Cameron McGeehan (SUB): 6 - Added some legs to Luton’s midfield as they kept Pompey out.
Craig Mackail-Smith (SUB): 6.5 - Helped take the attack to Portsmouth as his pace stretched the hosts. Might have been utilised earlier.
Sean Long (SUB): 6 - Replaced Lawless who had been on a booking and kept it solid.
