Mark Tyler: 6 – Didn’t have a save to make on the most straightforward of days.

Lathaniel Rowe-Turner: 6.5 – Versatility was again key for the Hatters as he shifted to centre-half following Kovacs’ injury.

Steve McNulty: 7 – Threw himself into every challenge and, although there were a couple of close calls, defended superbly.

Janos Kovacs: 6.5 – Hamstring problem curtailed his afternoon, but the Hungarian was wholehearted and committed as ever.

Alex Lawless: 8 – Town’s most consistent performer seemed to always have time on the ball and played some incisive passes.

Jake Howells: 8 – Playing on the left, Howells was full of energy and was dangerous and creative as he put in his best performance for a long time.

Stuart Fleetwood: 7 – Looked dangerous every time he got the ball, created Howells’ chance for the winner, but took a poor penalty.

Arnaud Mendy: 6.5 – First on to several scraps in the midfield and used his height well.

Jonathan Smith: 7.5 – Bundle of energy in the middle, won plenty of ball, but need a little more composure at times.

Ronnie Henry: 7 – Solid defensively and put in a few testing crosses.

Greg Taylor (sub): 6.5 – Combined effectively with Howells and hardly gave County a look in.

Scott Rendell (sub): 6.5 – Won plenty in the air and linked up play intelligently.

Dan Walker (sub): 6.5 – Made a real impression with his pace and direct running,
