Hatters rated v Wrexham (first leg)

Mark Tyler: 8 – Only really tested once and pulled off a great save with the score goalless – could have come for more balls into the box though.

Keith Keane: 9 – Tenacious, all-action performance in the middle – back to his very best.

George Pilkington: 9 – Numerous important headers and blocks, this was the captain marvel we all know and love.

Alex Lawless: 8 – A real thorn in Wrexham’s side breaking up play in the midfield and used the ball constructively.

Robbie Willmott: 8 – Livewire winger’s pace was a real threat throughout, but his shooting radar was off and he should have done far better with a late chance.

Stuart Fleetwood: 9 – Pressed from the front with his unselfish running, created Town’s first and scored a great second, but could have had even more.

Jake Howells: 8 – Rarely troubled defensively and was a constant threat as he bombed on beyond Willmott.

Curtis Osano: 8 – Stood up superbly to the physical test posed by Pogba – a player transformed.

Andre Gray: 8.5 – Has given the Hatters a real cutting edge and has formed a formidable partnership with Fleetwood.

Adam Watkins: 8 – Inventive midfield wasn’t afraid to put his foot in and kept things ticking in the midfield and was subbed as he tired.

Janos Kovacs: 8.5 – Went close with an early header and couldn’t quite force a late chance over the line, but was impeccable defensively.

Craig McAllister (sub): 7 – Some great hold up play and could have even have been a bit more selfish.

John Paul Kissock (sub): 6.5 – Defied his slight stature and helped the Hatters to hold on to the ball.

Amari Morgan-Smith (sub): 6 – Great to see him back and looked strong and hungry during his brief cameo.
