Hatters rated v York

Mark Tyler: 8 - Once again he came up with the goods when called upon. Brilliant second half stop ensured Town had the point they deserved at the very least.

Curtley Williams: 7 - Rough ride in the first half when up against Lindon Meikle and was almost forced off with a knock, but grew more and more assured as the game wore on.

Scott Griffiths: 7 - Few iffy clearances late on, but was always on hand to make a telling interception or break up York’s attacks.

Luke Wilkinson: 8 - Centre half took the mantle with McNulty missing and was a real powerhouse for Hatters all evening.

Alex Lacey: 7.5 - Another who stood up to the challenge in the absence of Town’s influential skipper and will have been delighted with the clean sheet

Jonathan Smith: 7 - Got about the pitch as usual, although lack of matches appeared to catch up with him in the second period as he made way. Still, so good to see him back.

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu: 8 - Another all-action display from the midfielder who was given license to burst forward. Tested Ingham with a low strike as York couldn’t handle his pace at times.

Andy Drury: 7.5 - So clever in possession and some of his touches were extremely pleasing on the eye. Looks to be getting back to his best with the defensive shackles somewhat lifted.

Luke Guttridge: 7.5 - Another who is a joy to watch when Town get their passing game going. Linked up really well with Cullen and a constant source of creativity.

Jake Howells: 6.5 - Didn’t really happen for the midfielder and he was forced off with a knock early in the second half.

Mark Cullen: 7.5 - Put in a fine shift with some clever runs and hold up play. Will be disappointed not to score when faced with a one-on-one though.

Luke Rooney (SUB): 7.5 - Gave Town some real attacking thrust on the left and so unlucky to see Ingham deflect his fierce drive over the top, while the keeper denied him late on too.

Jim Stevenson (SUB): 7 - Really growing into his role in the team now. Kept Town ticking over well in midfield.

Ross Lafayette (SUB): 6 - On late on to try and offer something different upfront.
