Hatters Rated: Woking v Luton Town

Mark Tyler: 8.5 - Excellent performance from the experienced stopper who saved McNulty’s blushes with the scores goalless and pulled off an even better acrobatic late stop to keep his seventh clean sheet in 11 games.

Jonathan Smith: 7.5 - Put in a decent shift as Luton dominated the midfield battle and overran Woking throughout the 90 minutes.

Steve McNulty: 8 - Terrible error almost handed the Cards the lead, but recovered to put in an impeccable performance which he almost crowned with a late goal from a free-kick.

Jake Howells: 8 - Ruthlessly effective on the left as he terrorised Woking’s defence and his set-pieces were much improved and caused the Cards no end of problems.

Scott Griffiths: 7.5 - Got in some telling tackles, while his jabbed passes forwards almost always found their mark.

Mark Cullen: 8.5 - Dubious first, stunning second and desperately unlucky not to complete his hat-trick as he hit the bar and had a last-gasp effort cleared off the line as his all-round game caused the Cards no end of problems. Still now faces a real dilemma this weekend whether to stick or twist if target man Paul Benson is fit.

Andy Parry: 7.5 - Moved back into midfield and looked even more effective as he broke up play well and used the ball constructively on a sensational night for the Hatters.

Luke Guttridge: 8.5 - Midfield dynamo was once again outstanding as the ball was attracted to him throughout, covered countless yards and put in some tantalising crosses, including the one for Cullen’s second goal.

Ronnie Henry: 7.5 - Skipper put in a composed performance at right-back as those ahead of him did the business in deadly fashion.

Andre Gray: 8 - Looked much more like his old self as Woking couldn’t handle his pace and power as he deservedly opened his account for the season with a composed finish.

Alex Lacey: 8 - The Hatters looked especially solid with the young defender back at centre-half. Lacey won countless defensive clearances, used the ball intelligently and also scored his maiden goal for the club with an excellent downward to make it 2-0.

Shaun Whalley (sub): 6 - Lively cameo allowed Guttridge the ovation he deserved.
