The Hatters trailed late in the first half when Hwang Hee-Chan opened the scoring, before Toti doubled the lead moments after the break with a free header. Late on, Carlton Morris netted to give Town a chance, but they couldn’t find a leveller. To find out how the Luton players rated on the afternoon, see below.

Struggled to contain the Wolves' bursts in behind him at times, as Hee-chan got away in the first half although he recovered well to repel the forward's follow up header. Lost his footing early in the second period too, thankful to see Clark back to save the day with a crucial intervention. Clearly injured in the closing stages, as he could barely walk at times, so deserves great credit for soldiering on and putting his body on the line in Town's ultimately fruitless efforts to salvage a point. Was a mixed afternoon for the wingback who had some joy in the first period with some attacking runs on the left, winning the ball back for Morris's header that was saved by Sa. Swapped to the right when Hashioka was withdrawn, and did well to win some set-pieces, but occasionally a heavy touch let him down, sending the ball behind. Did well for the goal as after Woodrow's volley came back to him, floated over a cross for Burke to find Morris and give Luton a slim chance. Photo: Michael Steele
7. Sambi Lokonga: 6.5
Was able to orchestrate some good passages of play for the Hatters in the early stages as they began on the front foot in a bid to land the first blow of the contest. Wolves recognised his danger, Gomes booked for bringing him down as he looked to break forward, as he Found the hosts' midfield tough to get the better of at times, particularly after they went 2-0 up. Main plus for the on-loan Arsenal midfielder was that he was still out there at the final whistle, able to complete a first 90 minutes since February 18. Photo: Michael Steele
8. Ross Barkley: 6
Started as if he was going to have a real influence in the game, having the first attempt of the contest when side-stepping his man and unleashing a fierce drive that was parried by Sa. That hope didn't materialise though as although he did have the odd moment in the first period when he got his passing going, sending the ball out to to the right flank, as the game progressed, Wolves won the midfield battle, picking his pocket for one opportunity. With not much coming off, made way in the final stage when replaced by Adebayo. Photo: JUSTIN TALLIS
