The 20-year-old admitted in last week’s News/Gazette how he would love to play for Hatters once more after an impressive loan spell last term.

McGeehan gave a typically combative performance on his return to Kenilworth Road at the weekend as a Cambridge player, while Still confirmed talks between the clubs remain ongoing.

He said: “We’ve always said that we would take Cam here permanently.

“We believe he would want to come to us but he’s got to work with Norwich, so we’ll keep knocking at the door with this like we have done and see what comes out.

“But we have been and are talking to Norwich.”
